The MGM Grand has been an icon on the Las Vegas strip for years. The Casino itself has gone through extensive renovations over the years but the Hotel is starting to show its age a bit.

Customer Service: The registration desks in the MGM Grand are setup amazingly well. A large lobby makes it very accessible and lots of employees make it fast and easy to check-in. I am not sure if this happens often but there were some miscommunication issues with our room (which room we were supposed to get, the room keys that we got first were for another persons room) but they resolved this issues very apologetically giving us a room on a higher floor. We left our baggage at the bell desk and they were very prompt at delivering it to our room. The deliverer was very helpful and polite. Also as a note, as we went up to our room all of the maids were very polite and said "hello". It felt like everyone appreciated us staying there.

Room Accommodations: We stayed in the Celebrity Spa Suite. The room was slightly smaller then we expected it to be. Their was a lot of mirrors giving it an open feel. They had a swivel TV in the center of the room that could be watched from either the bed or the couch. It was an older TV but not bad. There was a fairly small choice of channels. The bed was very comfortable, with a down comforter and a micro suede body pillow as well as 6 other king pillows. The bathroom was a very good size and had a jetted spa tub that could fit 2 people very comfortably. The water would get as hot or as cool as you wanted. The lighting was great, very customizable to fit your particular needs or wants. Overall a nice room but could use some upgrades.

Price: If you are going to stay in the MGM Grand you will definitely want to shop around. We found the best price through signing up for the e-mail alerts through their website. Saved us about 50% so definetly something to keep in mind. A nice hotel and not to bad for the price. Probably wouldn't want to pay retail though.
