Restaurant- Las Vegas, NV- Mon Ami Gabi at the Paris Hotel and Casino

The Mon Ami Gabi is located right on the strip inside the Paris Hotel and Casino. It has indoor and outdoor seating with the Bellagio fountains across the street. It was a beautiful restaurant with great food and service. The restaurant was quite full, which raised the noise level a bit, but overall the atmosphere was friendly and inviting.

Overall Rating: 9.0

Service: We arrived a half hour earlier than our reservation and we were seated immediately. The hostess was polite and friendly as she brought us to our table. The waiter was a little hard to understand, but did make suggestions for entrees and drinks. The drinks were always kept full and it was obvious they were on top of things. All the staff were not only friendly to the guests but also to each other, which makes for a very comfortable atmosphere. After we made our order, they asked us if we wanted warm bread, and continued to make sure that we had enough of it. The food was delivered relatively quickly to our table. After they delivered our food, the waiter was standing in the room, always available if we needed anything.

Selection: They had a wide variety of food including ample vegetarian and healthy choices. They also have a large variety of wines for those interested. The portions were adequately sized, not so much to make you have to undo your belt, but enough to make you satisfied. After the meal they also bring you a dessert menu.

Rating: 9.0

Quality: The meals were top quality. The Steak Dijon, Grilled Salmon, and Warm Duck Confit were all delicious. The only issue was with the Steak Dijon not having enough Dijon butter, but because the steak itself was so good, this was easily overlooked. The salmon had wonderful and unique flavors, served with a citrus marinade over a spinach salad with grapefruit and orange slices. I would highly recommend it to the more health conscious.

Rating: 9.4

Price: Considering this is on the Strip and serves top quality food, the price is very reasonable, ranging from $10-$30 a plate. It is an excellent choice for a special occasion or if you're looking for a tasty treat. There are probably cheaper places on the strip, but for the quality and service, again, it was very reasonable.

Fast Food- Las Vegas, NV- Pick up Stix on Grand Canyon Pkwy

This is a Chinese restaurant that is different from your normal take out. Not only are the menu items fresh and unique, but the service is very customer oriented.

Overall Rating: 9.5

Service: The employees are quick to greet you and will gladly suggest items on the menu. They bring your food to you, make sure you have what you need, and check on you during your stay to make sure everything is satisfactory. This is very unique for a fast food setting and a nice change.

Rating: 9.5

Selection: The menu here is full of various Chinese dishes, from traditional to exotic. Everything is in large portions, giving you enough for your meal and, most times, left overs. There's also a few delicious healthy choices, including vegetarian options.

Rating: 9.1

Quality: Everything is made fresh to order and every time we've eaten there it has tasted wonderful. It is definitely some of the highest quality food we've ever had at a fast food restaurant.

Rating: 9.5

Price: Their price is a little higher than your average fast food place, but so is the service and quality. It is definitely worth the extra pennies every time, and because the portions are so large, you absolutely get what you pay for.

Fast Food- Las Vegas, NV- Jack in the Box on W Flamingo and S Durango

This is a convenient location for the restaurant and is usually where we head when wanting something fast and easy. But we will probably not go there often because of the horrible service and mediocre quality of their food.

Overall Rating: 2.9

Service: The service is not customer oriented at all. In fact, on one occassion, I was straight out told that they would not make a salad for me because they were too busy. The service is bad, even for a fast food restaurant.

Rating: 1.0

Selection: The menu is decent and matches most other Jack in the Box menus. Not a whole lot of healthy choices, but that's a fast food place for you. Besides that there's quite a few options for different burgers with different breads, and they do serve breakfast all day.

Rating: 5.0

Quality: Oddly enough, we found this location's food quality to be less desireable than other locations. The burgers are generally all right, but the fries taste like they have never changed the frying oil. We would definitely head over to another location for something if we have the option.

Rating: 3.0

Price: For the quantity you receive, the price is good; although, they have the same price at other locations with more decent service and quality. If you're in the mood for Jack in the Box, it'd be worth it to you to head to another location. There's one on Ft. Apache and Tropicana.

Restaurant- Las Vegas, NV- Olive Garden, West Charleston and 215

This Olive Garden is located across from the Red Rock Casino. We enjoy going here for a treat now and then because it feels more upscale than it is. It definitely has an elegant feel to it, but without the prices of a five star fancy restaurant.

Overall Rating: 8.0

Service: There have been times we've gone and there has been a wait to be seated, but it is something to expect when going to a family restaurant for dinner on a weekend. The hosts have always been polite and cordial. The waiters we've had have been all great, except for one time. We had a waitress who wanted to charge us for extra bread sticks we asked for (even though they're unlimited) and then straight out told us she wanted to hurry and finish serving us so she could instead serve a large group of people that just came in. Other than that one night (which we remember better than any), everything has always been satisfactory with the service.

Rating: 6.5

Selection: Everything here is Italian. They have a wide selection of pastas, and the unlimited bread sticks and salad, and even soup, is genius. You definitely have to be in the mood for Italian to want to eat here, it is not somewhere you could bring everyone and everyone gets what they want like a buffet; however, those in the mood will greatly enjoy the menu and will definitely need to take a few minutes to look over everything offered. Healthy choices include the Minestrone soup, the salad, and various fish dishes. Some chicken dishes may also be considered fairly healthy.

Rating: 8.0

Quality: I have never been disappointed with the way anything here tastes. Everything always satisfies and is freshly made. Whether you're getting an old favorite or the newest item on the menu, they always seem to please in quality and presentation.

Rating: 8.5

Price: The price seems to be just about right here. It does cost a bit, but nothing more than what it is worth to sit down to great service and a good meal. Expect to pay some, but expect to be satisfied when you're done.

Restaurant- Anaheim, CA- Pizza Oom Mow Mow

Located on the west side of Disney's California Adventures behind the Sun Wheel Pizza Oom Mow Mow is a great place for a quick meal. It has something for everyone to enjoy.

Overall Rating: 7.9

Service: The service here is good. Of course like everywhere else you go in Disney you will more then likely have to wait in line but the line generally moves fairly quickly. They have never made mistakes on our orders.

Rating: 7.0

Selection: They have a decent selection of good comfort foods. Like most restaurants in the Disney area they are very specialized. They have Pizza, Pasta and Salads. All of the portions are good sized.

Rating: 7.5

Quality: Everything tastes good. No matter what you are in the mood for you will enjoy anything on the menu. The restaurant is always clean and a fun environment to sit in and rest while you eat.

Rating: 7.9

Price: They have prices that are quite reasonable for Disney. Everything on the menu is priced below average for the parks. We generally eat here at least once each time we go to the Disney Parks.

Rating: 8.0

Restaurant- Las Vegas, NV- MGM Grand Buffet

The MGM Grand Buffet is located in the heart of the MGM Grand across from the Lion Habitat. The price range is quite high for the quality and variety of the food that is served. It is not bad by any means but for the price you can eat better.

Overall Rating: 6.5

Service: The hosts were nice and the waiter was trying hard but they were definitely understaffed. The few people that they had working did do well. There was quite a wait to be seated considering the length of the line was not a long.

Rating: 7.0

Selection: For a buffet they had a rather limited selection especially for the price. They had a small variety of each type of food but each area was just the basics. They did have a decent selection of seafood(crab, sushi, shrimp, etc) and deserts but the other areas were quite sparse. The healthy choices that they had were things like rice, fruit, salads, seafood, and soup. They didn't have any whole wheat bread/rolls.

Rating: 6.5

Quality: It was very hit and miss as far as quality of the food. The fruit was very good (strawberries, pineapple, watermelon, honeydew, and cantaloupe) The ham was very bland along with a lot of the other foods. Other then the fruit nothing really stood out as being overly scrumptious.

Rating: 6.5

Price: We received a 2 for 1 deal on this buffet and it was still overpriced. This was a fairly mediocre buffet which was very overpriced. Unless you get it comped I would recommend trying somewhere else.

Video Game- Xbox 360- BioShock

BioShock is a dark ride through the City of Rapture, a place where dreams turn into nightmares. A creative underwater thrill ride that will engulf you until the climactic finish.

Overall Rating: 9.3

Story: The story is unlike anything that I have ever seen. Really sucks you in and won't let go until the end. It is filled with twists and turns that will leave you guessing. It also includes multiple endings which gives it some replay value as well. I personally felt that all the endings were kinda short and not too much emphasis were put on them considering the major part the story plays in the game.

Rating: 8.7

Game Play: The Game play is much like other first person shooters. It also adds the factor of survival horror games where you will be scrambling for ammo and Eve. The game will start to get hard and forces you to use your genetic mutations in order to survive so those who are looking to play through the game as just a first person shooter you are in for some difficulties. BioShock also includes mini-games that are played to accomplish certain things like opening safes or hacking cameras. These can be skipped if you want but are quite fun.

Rating: 9.6

Controls: The controls of this game are laid out pretty well but I had a little bit of a time getting used to them. I found myself just using the remainder of my Eve in order to reload it. Numerous times I would fire off whatever weapon that I was holding when I respawned causing me to die or suffer more damage. However none of these issues really detracted from the game just minor annoyances.

Rating: 7.9

Graphics: The dank and gritty graphics of Bioshock definitely add to the flavor that the game is trying to get across. This game would definitely not be for everyone. Some people would not want to play it because of the fear factor and the fact that it is under water for some reason just adds to the eeriness. The graphics are not the best that I have ever seen but they do a good job in taking you to Rapture and enjoying your stay there.
